It's not often that we come across something so special, that we bend our rules to accommodate it. The Brewer's Night Inn isn't strictly remote or immersed in nature, but it is a true 'escape' - and one of the most unique and beautiful creations we've come across.
The Brewer's Night Inn is set on a quiet street in Reefton, a small town on the West Coast filled with yesteryear atmosphere. Reefton is 3 hours from Christchurch and 2.5 hours from Nelson.
The inspiration for The Brewer's Night Inn stemmed from an early settler and original owner of the inn, Stewart Monteith (aka The Brewer). Built in the 1870s, the original cottage has been meticulously renovated and furnished to maintain its historic edge. The stunning, moody interior is a masterful cross between a rustic high-country cabin and a luxurious hotel.
The inn is an open-plan space with a lounge, kitchen, and bedroom. Beautiful french doors, lead onto a brick patio and a thriving English garden, filled with wildflowers in summer. A gorgeous Victorian-inspired bathroom features a concrete soak tub and dramatic linen drapes.
A stay at The Brewer's Night Inn is an experience you won't forget. It's a chance to escape from reality, and take a step back in time - with a touch of modern luxury.
