Your Hosts

YOUR HOSTS

Your hosts at Fallow Lodge are Laura and Blake, their daughters Emilia and Alanna, and furry friends Mia and Sneak.

After many years of working in and around the Pukekawa area, Laura and Blake decided to make it their home. The family has lived on the farm since 2021. The rural community, expansive landscapes, and the tranquillity of countryside living are what they love the most.

The name 'Fallow Lodge' is inspired by all the fallow deer gracefully grazing on the property.

“ Staying in Fallow Lodge is such a unique experience! We really enjoyed feeding the friendly animals especially the fallow deer! Never in my wildest dreams that I’d be able to have such a close encounter with a fallow deer. So so cool! We loved just chilling in the bedroom while listening to the birds' hum. We’ve seen wild peacocks too. This place is so special I’d stay here again for sure. ”

“ We received a voucher as a wedding present for a Canopy Camping stay. This venue was available at short notice when we needed a Plan B to fill in a couple of days after our wedding. It was just perfect, a lovely little sanctuary. The fallow stag would visit us while we sipped champagne in the bathtub. It was truly magical! ”

“ A unique and luxurious cabin nestled into a beautiful farm, complete with gentle deer, curious sheep, and phenomenal sculptures. We loved trying our hand at the pizza oven (do read the instructions), BBQ, and getting to bathe outside each day. Birdsong was in abundance and a perfect start to each morning. You are truly off-grid (no electric outlets) and this deepened our relaxation. We also loved that it was easy to go explore nearby. Highly recommend Nikau Caving too! ”
